Jacks saddle feathers are coming in! Crowing soon?

He is almost 8 weeks old and I'm noticing his saddle feathers coming in! When should I start hearing an attempt in crowing?

It could be today - it could be weeks from now. It's kind of like waiting to hear a human boy's voice start to crack - no one age for that to happen either.

He could start crowing soon. I think my roosters were older than 8 weeks when they started crowing. If there is an older more dominant rooster around he could hold off on crowing for a while. Be ready to take some video; the first crows are pretty funny sounding.
