Jam Jar

It would depend on who ate the first half.

Homemade by a person who looks like they wash their hands first? Me $3.00, but I am broke on a permanent basis, If I had money I would spend up to five just because I like to support people's efforts..
So I guess the right answer is between 3.50 and 4.50.
What you need to do is figure out your costs, sugar pectin. jars, electricity and then figure out what you are worth per hour. (I am worth hundreds of dollars myself, but no one else sees it that way)
Good luck on your venture.

Hey ,I know, go look on etsy and the other site of the same ilk and see what they are getting.

We sell our 20 ounce jams for $6.50. We used to also make 10 ounce jams too, but it got to the point it costs us only $1 less to make them over the 20 ounce, so we went to all 20 ounce. How much you charge depends on your customer base, how much you really want to make per jar, and the quality of your ingredients. It is a balancing act. Forget your time and labor, only a few will ever appreciate all your effort. We also wholesale and private label to others. I have seen these customers sell our jams any where from $5.95 to $9.95 depending on their customer base. You can see our jams in our signature below.
