How is it going with your eggs @Bananer86?
I put 6 eggs into lockdown yesterday for the last hatch of this month.

I'd add more water. We have our first pip! But the humidity dropped to 30% overnight. I’m not sure if I should open it to add more water or not![]()
If you are able to, just open the incubator a crack to add water and throw in a warm, damp paper towel to drive up the humidity. 30% is way too low for the chick to hatch normally.I’m so paranoid I’ve killed these chicks with my humidity issues. Still nothing more than that 1 pip.
That egg is from my banty who went broody back in Oct. we let her keep 1 egg, it pipped & died in shell. Since that happened with her previous egg should I pull a little shell off this one & make sure it’s still alive?
Hubs woke up & told me she pipped last night before he went to bed. We pulled her out & assisted a little. Her membrane was Definitely too dry we put her back in to finish pushing off her shellIf you are able to, just open the incubator a crack to add water and throw in a warm, damp paper towel to drive up the humidity. 30% is way too low for the chick to hatch normally.
How long has it been since it pipped? Sometimes there can go up to 24 hours before they even make any progress after they’ve pipped.

This part of hatching is always so nerve-racking! So happy she made it out.Hubs woke up & told me she pipped last night before he went to bed. We pulled her out & assisted a little. Her membrane was Definitely too dry we put her back in to finish pushing off her shell
Super cute little one! Great photo! We have 2 babies! Here is a picture from the day after Nug Nug hatched. Remember these are refridgerated eggs that are from a hen that was attacked by a hawk. The third egg pipped but there was something wrong with it. Now I wish I would have got pictures. I'm going to get new pictures of Nug Nug and Downy!
