And here is newly hatched chick #3 of Group 3!! This one was from a reddish brown egg laid by one of our GLWs.

it appears that the BG, not the BLRW, got to that hen as well... :-( holding out hope for a few BLRW crosses.

My son made a candler for his 4-H project out of a shoe box, it works, better than any we have bought.

We use a strong flashlight, inside the box, then made a hole to direct the light out and he made a cardboard, "peep" show for the egg.

He got a first at fair for it last year, but I didn't get any good pics.
