LOL my postal lady knows me I guess. I went out to meet her, she's like your eggs are here!! I'm like I'M SO EXCITED!!! rofl she thinks i'm nutso

weighed them all... candled them all... sadly it looks like ALL of them have detached air cells

Here is my updated plan for this hatch, had to change it up a little since they are detached:
  • rest 24hr
  • begin increasing temperature slowly over 8hrs
  • add to incubator, but do not turn for 48 hrs - then begin turning
  • remove incubator lid for 10-15min/day for daily cooling
  • candle within the incubator, do not remove until day 15. air cell takes 2 weeks to re-heal. must avoid turning eggs on their side, only upright!
  • stop turning early at day 16
  • hatch upright in egg cartons (not on their sides)

setting them tomorrow! going to need lots of luck!!!

Must be something with the Post Office lately. Seems everyone's eggs are getting overly abused in the mail.

As of right now I have 27 chicks that have hatched out of the 36. Still 6 more pips so hopefully they hatch as well. I'll post pics when they are all in the brooder.

I got my posted eggs

!!!

I candled them immediately and there where no breakages, no hairline cracks and only 2 of the 6 had detached air sacks.
They have been resting for nearly 24hrs now.

Will any one be setting eggs today at roughly 1:00pm Australia time??? About 9:30am in the US depending on state???

WHAT!! When did you ever have to start doing all this for posted eggs?
I heard that you just let them sit for 24hrs in the cool, warm then to room temp then put them in the bator with turning and wait till day 18 to go into shut down where you lay them flat and turn rocking off.
