this spring I will be breeding my phoenix, buff laced brahma's, gold laced polish, blue orpingtons, ameraucana's and araucana's

we will be starting the breeding(housing) pens when this next rain passes....so exciting!! I love my birds

You have phoenixes. Awesome. Hoping to get a few eggs soon. I have a lonely hen right now.

We had a tree break mid trunk, and my husband is talking about making a tall pen to include the tree for phoenix. There is one large branch that we left so it could be a huge perch.

I have a little frizzle baby 1 week old....she's got a few little fuzzes starting to stick out....don't remember how old her momma was when it was clear she was frizzled but seems it was within a few weeks of hatch!!

my frizzle is a week old too. She has very very slight bend at the tips.

WOW! He is beautiful. I wish I could have phoenix but they are just so rare here and I have already got my Leghorns.
Ok thanks. My mystery bantam chick ( 4 days old ) could be frizzle and she already some wing feathers but they are not frizzled so I was rather disappointed but now that I know it takes longer I am more hopeful

I can't believe I have never heard of them. They look and sounds like a fantastic bird. How many do you have?

No, I have several other breeds. Including a mixed flock, which is where the white egg came from. But they have regiliously laid medium brown eggs.

I love brahmas also. They were the first breed I picked when I started. Hoping to order buff or dark brahma eggs for the easter hatch-a-long.

Have you seen the thread Brahmalot? I not, check it out. That lady has a wonderful Brahma flock and also has a few Dark Brahma's...they are a tremendous looking colour

My little chick is only 4 days old and has a few feathers like this, so hopefully in a few more days I will be able to tell.

I would not touch them. They are at lock down. Need to keep hands off. Lol that's what is hard on the last 3 days.
