Jan./Feb. 2014 hatch a long

It's funny. When they see that we're going to hatch them anyways then they help. I know mine is tired of hearing chickens. Lol love the look on his face while he sits and listens

My hubby helped me with the incubator but after I started brooding he kept nagging me "when are you gonna move them out? When are you gonna move them out?" I think he drive me nuts more than I drove him nuts
Wish he had more patience...

Do you have pictures of the eggs?

I have selenium, super b complex, & vitamin e crushed up with honey & ACV (with the mother) - I smashed up yolk in the mix & have been giving it that. I'm really not sure if its ok to go back with them.. Maybe if I do this 3x a day? Put it back each time..?

Sometimes the ACV is too sour. You can try leaving it out. Vitamin B deficiency causes a lot of problems.
I just got back inside from putting it back with the others. It was closing one eye... had a bad feeling if I didn't put it back it might die overnight. It was moving around pretty good, but it had a little diarrhea, hope it will be ok. I think I'm going to check early this morning to see how it's doing. When I was putting it under mama she kept shifting around like she didn't want it under her.. I might check again soon just to be sure she didn't reject it
Extra vitamins can cause runny poop and pasty butt. Keep an eye on the hiney.

The above is so true..and, so can the medicated feed. I only keep them on it for a week.

Lol I have mine in the living room. In a cocktail cage. He just looks at me but don't say anything. He has no idea that I have another Bach hatching in a couple of weeks. And that in already collecting eggs to incubate right away.

dofi..I have a friend that does the same thing! I thought how funny, but they all get along. lol..

I keep them in a brooder at first... and so I keep them on medicated feed until they are introduced to the soil (where the medication is needed).
I supplement their feed with kale, mustard greens, and watercress chopped up fine until they are on grass :)

I wish I know where to get these things. Feel lost in feeding.

I don't do the special food for the babies. Just the hens outside. They get to free range come spring and all through the summer and fall. Then in the winter I add other things..fruits and veggies. And, BOSS. This is excellent protein for them. They love them too.
