Day 1 for me here. Can I join in the fun? 10 Lavendar Americauna Eggs are set in my new Brinsea Octagon 20 incubator.

So I use there own feed and water. Where do I get buttermilk?

Lost power last night.
Got hand warmers in with chicks......
Also in the incubator and wrapped it...Temp dropped to 80
for 2 or 3 hours so.......................

Guess we'll see.
Winds gusts still 100 today, really makes it bitter cold.
Chickens grounded to their coop today. They hate it.
I am going to give them apples, they love them and it keeps them busy.

Boss at any grocery store..sunflower seeds..the black ones..is what it is.

Or, your feed store has the real large bags. Its what you see in the wild bird feed area. Or, in the grocery store, in the bird food area..they have wild bird feed there for the winter too.
Just..Black Sun Flower Seeds. It may or may not say..Black Oil Sunflower Seed. Same thing though, good protein.

I have heard of sunflower seeds but they can't break the shell. Or is it that I have to get the ones already pealed.
