Jan./Feb. 2014 hatch a long

Omg!! I just candled at lockdown, and one of the eggs started chirping and rocking back and forth!!! My heart was racing - I've never heard a chirp at lockdown. This is the one egg that I can see through at the small end, although it's darker today than it was yesterday. I saw a couple that I thought I saw an internal pip. Never looked for it before, but it was moving. So exciting!!! :)
Here's a not-so-great pic of an internal pip. The mound in the middle was moving, but not chirping. 8 eggs went into lockdown. I hope it's a good hatch!!! *fingers crossed*

I was using a Brinsea candler that shines from the bottom up. This time I used an additional flashlight to see inside the egg from the top, but clearly I need a real candler.

73 eggs!!! Wow! I hope you get 73 lil' fuzzybutts!! Pretty breeds too. Please post pics when they hatch! I'd love to see a big sea of the cute little fuzz balls <3

I had 43 this last time hatch and traded 12 for a pair of ducks to a friend and 10 to my brother for a large rabbit cage so now I'm working on more deals between friends and family love trading so yes hope for a large hatch :) but only time will tell

I have some EE's going into lock down on Tues. My goodness, I have chicks!

I have some eggs coming too. LF Cochin, bantam cochin too, NN eggs, and some silkie eggs. I am worried about when I will get the NN eggs..the folks live in VA..the weather there is brutal right now. I was trying to get these here in a timely manner, to hatch at the right amount of time apart. I only have three bators.

I think I will get the LF cochins tomorrow. Then the bantam and silkie eggs should come on the same day...hoping. :/ I don't think I'll get the NN's even shipped out until the end of the week. If the weather had been good, he was going to ship them out today. Not very good communication..for all I know, he has shipped them. ??

Oh no no no communication is a must!!! And I've only got one incubator right now lg forced air and some of my eggs are very tiny! I'm going to buy another incubator when my ducks start laying then I'll be popping out more chicks than I have room for but as of right now I have a 20x20ft heated coop and a half acre fenced in pen and only 2 welsh Harlequin ducks who hate the coop :-( was originally going to stack the eggs like a old man told me then I realized if I put all the eggs standing up pointy end down they all fit and to turn I tilt the incubator3 times a day going to see how this works I didn't meant to get this many eggs but people giving me such tiny eggs and I can't just toss a egg out I'm already a hatch aholic and I have a 10 gallon aquarium I'm going to use as a second hatcher in case a lot of them make it to lock down

3 silkies hatched last night!
So, I've got the two Cochin Cream mixes, and the three silkies. I'm super upset my sex-link Cream crosses aren't doing anything yet. Two other silkies have pipped. Humidity is staying perfect between 60 and 65%.
My girls get up every morning and run straight to the incubator.
