Maybe @chick-among-us
can help me figure it out lol. Not sure what all the abbreviations stand for on the eggs.

Your barnyard mix chicks are pretty! And a nice mix of breeds on the shipped eggs. The trick with shipped eggs is to let them sit big-end-up for at least 24 hours before putting them in the incubator. I'm sure you've read all this before so I won't go on. Good luck with your hatch! I'd love to see pics after they hatch :)

Yeah I let them sit for 24 hours but I have unplugged the turner and will let them sit for an additional 48 hrs. As was suggested. Most of the air cells were detached. Darn USPS...

I am no longer living vicariously thru all of you. I have finally set my eggs.

2 Sulmtaler
2 Black Marans (Daddy is a splash Marans or EE= Olive Egger or Blue Marans)
2 Mix
4 Bresse
5 Barnevelders
5 Basque
5 Legbars
8 Araucana
14 Red Dorkings
and a few more I can't remember.

LOL.. My daughter thinks I am a nut, Caught me chirping over the incubator...She asked what was next, the hatch dance...LOL.. I told her yes, if it would help!!1

I'm using a friend's little giant to run my first hatch right now. We're on day 17, so getting close! I'm just hatching some barnyard mixes this time to figure out what I'm doing, but eventually am getting some buff orpington and white leghorn eggs to hatch later this spring. My friend also has ducks and geese and offered me some eggs......long story short, this is the start of our second year on our own place out in the country and my chicken math is about to get VERY bad! I told my DH I need an incubator and asked if he could help build me one. We're working on a cabinet model now! Hopefully we will have it running in a week or two! So blessed to have a husband who understands what an animal nut he married and is ok with supporting my habits. :) He LOVES baby everything. Baby goats, baby chickens, baby rabbits (2 litters due tomorrow!!!)....ya, I'm always going to be ok making more baby things around here.

Although I do have some making up to do. Last year, I placed an order for chicks through a hatchery. I accidentally ordered them to come in over our anniversary weekend...oops..... needless to say that order got cancelled. I'm the one who forgets important dates around here.
