can you candle it from the fat end down so we can see the air cell? is the yolk rolling when you turn the egg? it's really too soon but sometimes you can tell by some small changes

Yes, the yolk rolls. Today is day 3.
Here's some pics .

Won't see much on day 2.  Give it a couple more days.

Quick question I have silkies,silver Phoenix,polish,EEs, mixed bantys and barnyard mixes in the incubator I have a forced air lg my question is when I go into lock down would it be okay to put a plastic barrier to divide the eggs up and keep chicks sepperated till I can mark them with food coloring I don't want to mix my EEs up with the barn yard mixes I'm incubating for my brother i know the polish will be easy to tell and the silkies should be easy to tell apart from the bantys anyone else ever mark chicks

Nail polish on top of the head works great if you don't have chick bands.

When should I candle my duck eggs?

Muscovies should show veining by day 7-10. White shelled duck eggs should show veining day 3-6. Darker shells should show veining by day 5-8. Really dark eggs (cayauga) may nrver have visible veining.

ok, tomorrow is "hatch day" I haven't heard a peep yet, or seen a pip.... my first time, I have one egg in there, a buff silkie.... I was peeping to it at lunch today and then making hen noises.... lol so I am right there with you @Farmer Viola I sooo hope this little bundle makes it!!! I am trying not to get too excited as I"m gonna be a pile if it doesn't. I am off work tomorrow and no internet, so will post again wednesday, wish me luck! or wish my egg luck!!!

yes, duck eggs don't give up on for sure until day 10 then compare them to each other if your in doubt of some
