Janet is gone

She had her spa therapy, but was kind of listless. I just checked on her after my dance class and she is gone.

I also have another egg gone bad in the 'bator. Down to one

I'm so sorry. I was hoping she was improving. My female Toulouse died last week. She had the same injury. She was looking good to and then poof she got sick instantly and died over the night.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I'm sure than Jack is heartbroken without his Janet.

She was in her "hospital" tub out in the garage with a heater and everything. Hubby noticed she hadn't eaten much yesterday. We had been putting the tub outside so she could talk to the other ducks and that seemed to help her. I guess whatever was making her leg lame was just too much. It looked like she was having a seizure of some sort a couple of times.

I went to check on her and she wasn't moving. I touched her and she was cold and stiff.

She was the champion squirrel chaser too. We are bummed, but know she has a really good life while she was with us. Had I not gotten her from the woman who had her, she would have ended up as dog food.

We still have one viable egg in the bator. We hope it is her baby, but wont know until it hatches next week. Wish me luck.
