Hi guys my name is Vincent,I just got a Janoel12 and tried to incubate duck eggs but it was unsuccessful...I got some new ones already and I’m going to give another go,the problem is that if I set the temperature to 37.5 it seems to be lower inside...I have a thermometer from eBay and I put it inside the thermometer indicates 35.4 but the janoel12 indicates 37.5...
I have also a forehead infrared thermometer and that indicates 37.5,which o e do I trust?

Idk about your unit but ran mine set at 38.0 with chicken eggs and have had great success.
This is good to know. I just turned mine on today and I'm so confused because last time I used it (two years ago) I actually was able to keep it at 37.2-37.5°C and see 99°F on my hydrometer. Now, my hydrometer is only reading 94°F and I have the temperature set at 38.0°C on the incubator. So confused. Hopefully it will rise overnight. I'll keep it on 38!

Good luck!

I’m having trouble I just used mine s year ago and I’m going into lockdown and it wanted to read 104 degrees. I have two temperature readers in it now. And I’ve lowered the top temp . I’m not sure what’s going on with it. It’s frustrating for sure.

Is the little temp probe that hangs dowb damaged or pushed up too high or anything?

I have the same problem. I set the incubator to 38.0 and the inside thermometer reads lower. Did you change the top temperature? Was your hatch successful even with this issue?

I have this incubator and found that the temps needed to be calibrated quite a bit! Mine was off by almost 4.5 degrees. You want to use a couple good thermometers (or the combo thermometer/hydrometer) inside the incubator—one in the middle and one on the edge, and then recalibrate the incubator temps to match. Once I did that it’s been pretty consistent on temps. I have hatched more than half of my quail eggs so far, with good success!

Ok thank you I will try that and get those babies warmed up to the correct temperature 🙂
