January Hatch-a-long 2018

I have my first Naked Neck of this offspring hatched! I can’t get a photo where she is in the incubator. With only one parent being NN how does the genetics work?

It’s from my Polish/Silkie mix so I hope it has her silkie feathering so she will be a show girl! I have noticed that she doesn’t have a vaulted skull like her Mom did.
This is her Mom HeiHei and of course Mr Vader (NN/Ayam Cemani).

Oh!! I can't wait to see! I love me a Nn... or two..or a SG! Sharing more photos. :D And oh, not sure how genetics work with a mixed breed. Just know that if a NN is in the mix, you have chances of getting a NN. Lucky!

This is my girl out there now. Took this photo a few days ago. She lays a pretty olive color egg. :)

Just candled my eggs, out of 34 I had 3 quitters. I went ahead and set up for hatching, took out the turning trays and layed the eggs on a rubbery shelf liner. I was hoping that the extera day still will help alow the babies to get into position to hatch. When I candled I saw that the bigger eggs still have lots of liquid so I am going to wait till Friday or Saturday to raise the humidity.

this will be my first time hatching in my brinsea, I usually use my cheap knockoff bator as a hatcher but it has a tendency to get a little warm so I am switching to the brinsea this time

Two chicks hatch last night. :jumpy I’ll get pictures soon. How long can they be in the incubator. I have to go to work and not sure if I should move them now or ok all day in bator. One hatched last night around 9 and one hatch I believe about 2am as that’s when I heard aloud chirp.
They should be good in the bator for a couple days if you can't move them. I usually gave mine around 8-12 hrs in the bator to get mostly fluffed before moving.
