Those chicks are just too cute. Pretty good hatch. What colored eggs do the CCL over Leghorn lay? Very pale blue?

Well from what I've heard is that they could be pale or they could be a deeper shade. I think it depends on whether your blue genes carrier in the cross is double blue or not. This will be a good way to test out my rooster to see if he carries double blue or single blue genes.

thanks ive had my humidity around the 60s for the past 2 weeks of incubating and know i now it was supposed to be around the 30s i cant get it down

You've been around old school temps, still a bit high for then. . just don't be adding any more wster until lockdown! Lifting the lid we several times a day will bring it down.

I candled 50 of my quail eggs.
Out of those 4 were infertile. The rest are starting to show veins.
Didnt candle all 500. But if the infertile percentage is throughout I'm looking at a decent number to possibly hatch.

Just got back from a ski, chick likes to sip on egg yolk and beef broth. cuddling on a sweatshirt with heating pad under... she loves it!!!

Lavender is supposed to breed true, most of my hens are blue, so mixed with lavender they may come out light blue, my chicks mom was black, w/LO dad, she is black with grey belly, I think she will turn all black.

What kind of quail? I hatched some cute little buttons before. Tiny eggs! Quick/fast little stinkers too! Cute.

Go Lavender, then you always have that blue look, see the avatar? she always has the same color babies. I am hoping to hatch some in my upcoming hatch!!!
