5/18 clears is no good I had 1/12 arrived cracked and 2/12 clear. 5 still going strong. This is from the same seller as yours. I'd contact her and see if she'll replace them or give you a partial credit.

I had a lot of infertiles from her, too. She might need to check her roosters or at least her ratio..

I got eggs from eBay as well and I’m super surprised with how well these are! She added a heat pack and even insulated the box with metal foil! I loved the experience and had beautiful breeds. Let me know if you want her email and tell her scott sent you if you do!

I would see this and think humidity was too low. Or eggs were older when you started incubating. Have you ever tried weighing your eggs before and during incubation? It was eye opening for me. I'm not completely convinced dry hatching works in our area. Here's a pic of my Day 16 shipped egg. It's pretty much spot on size wise.

no, I took the risk of getting eggs mid winter, I am fine with what I have. Thanks for thinking of me though. I have a real incubator this time though, not a home made one for her eggs.
Also, a couple of years ago I wanted eggs, and a friend of a friend of hers got me some eggs from her, for free, so she is cool.

Utah, not this batch, but with home made incubators, I have dry hatched, and in EWash we are dry here, (in cardboard not foam) and it worked if it was a small incubator.

Oh yes. People dry hatch successfully all the time. Just not me I like weighing, measuring and having a chart I can reference. Took the stress out of it for me.

Here are some photos. First few are of the blue egg. I also show that for lock down, I lay the egg half way between the high cell and the no cell area. Showing an other one with a pretty high cell. Turned the temp down a bit for lock down.

Now, wish me the luck of the Irish that these will hatch with them all having high air cells. I ha ent even taken a peek at my second batch I put on on Thursday. Wonder how those air cells look. :/ The thing about these eggs here too.. they stayed in the same state's P.O. for a day and a half at their sorting facility.

Perfect! Every one eventually finds what works best for them. It's usually pretty dry in my house. Not today! As I was cooking I checked the humidity in my fan bator, sure enough, humidity went up more than I wanted. Opened my back door..lol.. Hey, we should be seeing more babies here soon, right? Who else is close to lock down.

When eggs are hatching, I like them to touch each other, so they can feel heartbeats, and hear peeping, i think it encourages other eggs.
