January Hatch-a-long 2018

Pics
Out of those I had left, most died during the second week of incubation- from infection it looks like. That also happens to be when everyone in the house was horribly sick with a virus. Two were full term, one pipped through a vein and hemorrhaged. The other pipped wrong and drowned. I have three lovely fluffy butts out of the five full term. It's not too bad I guess. And I prematurely blamed my eBay incubator, which might be just fine.

I had hatched 6 around thanksgiving, and after that I had a hen who was broody so after a couple of weeks I decided to give her some eggs, seemed like one by one one of those eggs kept getting cold, eventually I brought them in to hatch indoors, but I had just Hope that hatched.

When things don't go your way you try and fix it, that is why I bought shipped eggs and borrowed an incubator.
