Here is the cracked egg.
Ehhh. That's a tough one. Here's what I would do as someone with no experience hatching cracked eggs. I would try and tear off as much of the tape around the cracked portion as possible. Even peal it up and cut it with scissors (or tear it) if possible. Leaving only the tape around the cracked part. I'd leave it on unless the baby pips into it. If there is only a little tape I would think it wouldn't hinder hatching as long as the pip doesn't start there. Just my two cents.

I will leave it on until I see a pip then I will analyze it from there I will keep everyone posted. I do have two silkie eggs that are browned so I think I may have some showgirls! The breeder did have showgirls too and she said there’s a fifty percent chance I may get one so lets hope I get one I never had one before and I’d love to just have that experience. If so I hope it’s a girl.

:goodpost: I wouldn't change a thing. Exactly what I would have said.

Are you sure you are getting right readings? I know when mine reads in the high 30's, it's really in the 50's. Yep, it's that far off! I just know not to go past 40 with it. I get wet chicks if it stays that high. You know what humidity feels like, it's not too late in the game to lift the lid and
.. take a feel. Feel real warm humidity? It's hard for some of us to calibrate. I used to, now, like I said, I know how mine reads. I know how much water to put in this particular bator. Anyway, took my eggs out of the bator with the fan and put them in the still bator.
I prefer the still. :) Candled! Oh my goodness!! More than half were clear! I took photos of a couple of them. This is day 7. I know clears, especially when I have a few with little swimmers in them. 5..possibly 6 out of 13! I did write to the seller. Very nice about it. They are going to send me more in a couple of weeks for the price of shipping. I'll take it. :) Here is one of many clears.

thanks so much i have a wet towel in there know and th temp is around 102 is that ok what shold the temp be on lock down it is a still air bator
I lower my temp to 99 in my still. Really folks, 65% is way to high for humidity, you're getting into duck humidity range with it that high. Even during lockdown. Stay in the high 50's range. Don't worry if it gets onto the low 60's, especially once they start pipping and hatching, you will see it rise. Take that towel out! My guess is you have plenty of humidity! Mama hen doesnt have a big ol wet towel under her. :p
