January Hatch-a-long 2018

Well, I have sad news. My hatching chick hatched but when it did I think it got caught on the yolk and it dragged it out. She ended up passing away last night. She was such a silvery blue. I'm trying to just make it a learning experience but it is hard to. On the bright side, two of my Marans are pipping! Which is good because that is the breed I really want.
 
I was sad because I had to pull an egg this morning, and I thought it was a blue maran, and I only had one left, (that I didn't trust) but later I looked and it was not a Maran I pulled, so I was happy, I don't think I will borrow this incubator again, nor really any better so far than my homemade ones, too bad she couldn't find her newer more trustworthy incubator, she thinks she loaned it out but didn't get it back, poor thing.
