January Hatch Buddies?

I usually candle them on the 10th day and seperate the ones forming and ones not or not sure of. Then again just before lockdown.

Im still incubating mine its day 4 for me and I did a spot check on day 3. Yep I have to manually turn my eggs so before I start I turn on the light give it a quick check and right back in the bator. Terri i feel for you I am excited too and I wish i could see in all of my eggs but my lite cant see through brown or green eggs so thoes are my mystery eggs. I probably wont check again until day 10 or so but its so hard not to check them. Knowing my luck I will forget to take the bad ones out and they will explode and there will be a mess!

Thank you Epitman 2. I feel for you too. It is nervewracking waiting. I pray and hope that when I do this the 2nd time It won't be this way. Good luck to you Post pics when they hatch.

I've got serama eggs coming in the mail tomorrow, and will be setting Friday morning. So our due date should be the 27th, unless they hatch as early as many other serama eggs I've read about. They'll be under a broody hen.

Started pulling Quail chicks today (8 so far)even though they aren't due until tomorrow.Put some bantam eggs in lock down today.So I'll keep everyone posted.

I have 8 Buttons due on the 11th. Lockdown on the 8th ( Saturday ).
2nd batch 4 buttons due on the 12th, I'll put them in lockdown on the 8th as well.
3rd batch 3 Buttons due the 14.
Then I have 2 Chicken eggs that are due the 17th so...

I went into lockdown yesterday but I'm pretty sure I lost the whole hatch. Between me and the PO there goes $35!

I might have got 6 to develop (and 6 of my own) but I didn't reread the manual when I plugged my bator in. Just assumed it was set to turn and it didn't. Of course I trust this bator completely so I wasn't in there candling constantly and messing with them.....so nothing got turned for almost the whole hatch.

I can't see into my FBCM eggs but I'm sure they wont hatch. Got them in lockdown anyway. Only 2 silkie eggs left, 1 was really small but still moving 2 days ago. The other was normal sized and moving. Nothing was moving yesterday.
