Japanese Bantam Thread

Are mine an Japanese bantams?
My red rooster in the first picture, He's an Japanese bantam. but I don't sure about Silvers one.
one of silvers rooster have a rosecomb. I know that Japanese bantam doesn't have a rosecomb.

It's not at all hard to tell. There are no Japanese Bantams in any of those picture. This includes the red one in the first picture or if he's a Jap he's such a poor one as to bear no resembrance to a Japanese Bantam. The silvers look like poor quality OEGBs.

There's nothing to argue about. To be part of a breed a bird has to posess the charactistics of that breed. The birdspictured here don't posess the characteristics of a Japanese Bantam. First of all one of them being rose combed by itself is enough to they're not Japs. In addition they're too long in the back, tail angle is wrong, legs are too long & of the wrong colour & silver duckwing isn't a Japanese Bantam variety. As to the red birds in the first picture they too lack the type charactistics of a Japanese Bantams.

Thanks for help!
I brought them from a owner who sold to me, they say they re a Japanese bantam. but they also think silvers are old English game bantam, I thought same thing. but they got them from a store that have been told they are a Japanese bantams.

I KNEW the rosecomb bantam are not japanses bantams, We only keep them for the pets and laying.
The hens are amazing, they walk like Japanese bantams and tails are up like Japanese bantams does.
But red rooster does too but not that much.
I tried to take a picture of hens, but its HARD to catch them with the camera. they kept moving and the roosters always block the way.
Hopefully the hens make a good Japanese bantams chicks.

NY REDS I just checked my copy of the bantam standard of perfection made by the ABA in 2011 and it says that there it such thing as a silver duckwing JB but you are correct in that there are of course no rose comb JB.

I mean this with no disrespect.
