japanese bantams and shows

oka i am trying to get into show ing japanese bantams and i was wondering if yall could give me some advice like how to ready them and other thing i would have to do in order to show some c`an yall tell me if yall have them on the ground or in a cage off the ground

hi, i house my japanese in a coop with attatched dirt run, their wings drag on the ground so have "split ends" so to speak, however the only showing i do is at the local fairs so its not a huge issue. when housing this breed for shows they are best housed on sawdust or wire to keep their feathers in good condition.

If you want to get them in condition for show, you wont want them on wire or dirt. Keep them in an enclosed pen with deep, clean shavings.
