Japanese black-tailed buff bantams

Hi - new to this site so trying to find out some information for my 10yr old son who is raising chickens!! I read somewhere that this breed isn't very cold hardy -- we live in Northeast Indiana (2 mi from MI border) - and I was just curious if anyone in this area (or farther north) has been successful raising these birds! If so -- is there any close by that are available for purchase
