Hello everyone, just joined the group. I started this year with a flock of 10 Muscovy and now have 42 baby ducks! Yikes. I haven't finished eating the ones I processed last year :) Those 42 are all from 3 nests. This really is the easiest self substaining meat production available.

the coop, one of the young females always went to the top when I put them up for the night. The rest of the flock waiting to be let out. I let my flock free range on my 10 acres, they seem to know their boundries, not sure how.

I was once asked, why did you move to West Virgina? When my daughter wanted a play set I decided I would build one everyone could enjoy. In this picture it's not yet finished.

Hello and welcome to BYC! If you have surplus eggs/meat you should sell some to help cover your feed costs. Who knows, you might even make a profit doing this.
