Java babies tomorrow!

I just got the call that chicks are hatching! Tomorrow I get to pick up my buff cochins and black javas. Ready or not, here I come!

They're here! We picked up 21 black Javas, 7 buff cochins, 5 Welsummers, and 13 Australorps. Yes, we were expecting 25 and came home with 46. Ah, the power of suggestion!

I will have about 42 total in another week. I have 15 one year old hens, 17 chicks in the brooder, and a few more chicks to pickup this week. And when I started this chicken thing last year I was planning on having 4 - 6. Oops....
