Jax had another playdate

In an effort to prepare our GSD "son" Jax for the upcoming arrival of his baby brother, we have had to resort to playdates to get him dog socialized.
Our farm is very isolated and it's not often possible for us to travel the distance to the Petsmart where he may or may not meet other dogs, assuming there are other dogs present when we are there.
First he met DSD's spayed two year old female and they played well, once she set Jax straight about who was in charge.
Next he met the county's drug dog, a two year old male lab and they had a blast. It was hard to seperate them when the time came for us to leave.
Today he met another one of DSD's dogs, Ben, a three year old pit/hound mix. They played until Jax was almost falling over from exhaustion. Jax had a hard time understanding that not every dog has his puppy energy. Now Ben is outside (he's not housebroken) and Jax is begging to go out every five minutes to visit with his new friend.

Too bad you don't live closer! Tesla needs someone her size to play with... Preferably until exhaustion, at least twice a week.

TWO of them that will each eventually reach the neighborhood of 100 lbs. is plenty enough dog for this small house, thank you very much.

I've been threatening to buy a baby carrier for when the new pup comes. He'll only be eight weeks old and I can't have the Moose squishing him.

KD, Why total exhaustion only two times a week? I vote for every day! We keep telling Jax, yes you are young but we're old. Cut us some slack!

7 days a week would be better but I think it would affect her anxiety issues a bit being away from her yard so long!

Tesla is partially deaf and sudden audible noises set her off. Water, anywhere but in the water trough, sets her off. Those 2 things are the biggest and she had them when she came to us at 5 weeks old. These triggers are so bad, she hits a blind panic and doesn't respond to anything,

, so we have to haul her into her 'safe room' and pray there is minimal damage to the walls before she calms down. Plus she's very protective of her 'herd', if I take her away from it for too long she starts panicking. I think that may have been our doing because she is always with one of the others, always.
