Hi all, I have 11 rescue hens ( had them for about 3 months now) and they are lovely, Great layers and all happy they come running to me when I go into the run.
They all lay every day , but 3 times this week I have had Jelly eggs, the first one was an egg with a burst jelly shell, then a few days later an empty jelly sac and today a full complete egg with a soft shell.
I feed them good quality layers pellets, layers mash and mixed scratching corn. I also have oyster shells and grit tubs all over the run.
My hens all now have feathers and have been wormed and seem to be very healthy. I am baffled by this any advice would be gratefully received . Toni :O)
