I did check into Sandhill regarding your Chanteclers, but they require straight runs which is something I'm not prepared for at this time.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but breeding chickens requires a male and female, and their offspring usually come in two sexes, male and female. 😜 Better get prepared.

Yeah I get they are not in the business of catering to the masses and are focused on improving the breeds they maintain. It's commendable. The guy is way too busy to be sexing out chicks for every person that just wants some girls.

I'm not setup yet to process yet. Next spring I'm hoping for chicks, and then the spring after that I'll be ready to process the males or any that don't fit my standards.

That said I don't forsee too much not fitting my standards. But this whole Jersey Devil thing has added a whole nother layer to my plans.

My original plan was to create the Hawkeye breed, which is still going forward, I just may use those that have the desired traits for the JD to pair up with Le Fleche.

To be up front, adding Le Fleche to my operation is probably 1 to 2 years out, before any breeding starts on this.

But with the help and support of everyone here I'm hoping we'll make it happen!
