Jersey Giant Chickens!

1. How many eggs do they lay a week?
2. Are the roosters aggressive?


I have one of them and want to get more just for the temperament. I know she is laying but i don't now how often. Thanks

I get 3 to 4 a day outta 6 hens.. my jersey giant is mean..

I think all breeds have good and bad roosters.. I'm sure there alot real gentle jersey giant roosters too

I had a very mean jersey giant roo. He would chase me and i would just shoo him away in one occasion he full on attacked me and i slapped him away he was never mean again his brother though was a very normal roo and wasnt mean toward us i ended up selling them, but i still have all my jersey giant hens and they are great.

That reminds me of my Maran rooster Micheal! We would have to take a broom with us when we went outside! And if we forgot it he attacked! We would have to kick him till someone came out with a net!
