Yea, I'm way late to this party, but I was thinking this was a cockerel before I saw those last pics. Definitely. My BJG didn't get big of wattles until she was getting ready to lay! And there's your saddle feathers, and please keep in mind that black feathers will sheen no matter what. You can have a white chicken with black specks, like my hamburgs, and those specks sheen. My only male bird is pure white, so no green on him.

I don't, I'm sorry. One, she stopped laying for winter... Two, the only rooster I have is an araucana, so any fertilized eggs from her would be half araucana.
