Jersey Giant owners

My Jersey Giant started laying her eggs 3 days ago....Do they normally lay daily or did I just get lucky? Thanks

I have 2 and they are really great producers! They each take a day off every 5 or 6 days I think.

I thought I had read where they were moderate producers so I assumed maybe every other day...tee hee This is so much fun....

Yes it IS fun! These are my first birds. I have 11 layers (2 of which are white Jersey Giants) and I am such a little kid when it comes to collecting eggs. I find myself sneaking out there without my kids so I can collect them all myself! Ridiculous but I feel like it is a treasure hunt!

That's good news! I have one that is still a month or so away from laying and wondered how she was going to lay. We got her because they are such big beautiful birds but also was only expecting maybe every other day. I did read somewhere that their laying is directly related to their weight, so the bigger the bird, the less they will lay. Guess we'll see!
