jersey giant question

my jersey giant chick, that is supposed to be a girl has a really big tail... I am concerned that she might be a roo... has anyone had jersey giants before? do the girls have a big tail as babies??

I wouldn't jump the gun on Gender just yet, GJ's are late developers, and it may be awhile before you can be sure.

ok, I hope she isnt a roo because we arent allowed to have roos where I live, any idea how to tell gender?
I wish I could post a picture...

It sounds like it's too late to either vent or feather sex it, but if it is a roo it won't start crowing for a while yet and if it does turn out to be Roo, just get rid of it and get a pullet that you will know is a pullet and go from there.
