Jersey giant rooster behavior?

I have a new batch of chickens and we got 2 jersey giants, and one of them turned out to be a rooster. They are 12 weeks old and the cockerel is acting funny. He takes between 5-6 steps then lays down. He moves just fine otherwise but I was wondering if the laying down is normal or should I be concerned? If anyone has any info on this it would be greatly appreciated!

Not generally normal. Keep an eye out for it getting worse. Could just be a slight injury.

My Jersey Giant rooster grew so fast and so suddenly he could not walk for a week. Everyone here thought he had Mareks, but he didn't. I put lots of vitamins in the water and he is fine now. It's possible that this is your bird's problem too. Add vitamins to everyone's water and see what happens! Good Luck, I hope your boy turns out like mine did!
