Nice, birdguy!

I've got 22 from Cinda Brent and Maria Hall lines in my incubator right now. I'm reaaaaallly excited because I thought that the Cinda Brent genetics had kind of gone by the way of the Dodo, so when I found a guy that had them, I jumped on the opportunity.

Beausonge, you actually got a few of the breeds that I had been considering before I picked Jersey Giants. Which is your favorite breed so far, personality wise? And which one grew the fastest out of your set? I know Jersey Giants aren't the fastest to develop out there...

Hi JG folks! My name is Diane and I
live in Texas. I have had JGs for a few
years now. I bought my first birds from
hatchery stock, but wanted to "get the real
thing this year." I thought I might want to
do some showing. I don't know if the others
on this list would concur, but I have found it
difficult to find and purchase good stock.
My goal is to stay with the original black
color, so this has resulted in limitations. I joined
the National JG club and Bob Vaughn was kind
enough to send me a dozen hatching eggs.
I am sooo happy that 2 hatched today and another
is working real hard on it as I write this note.
So far nobody has 3 legs or2 heads, so I am
really excited! LOL

Sounds like some of us our htaching our JG this month! I have 24 in the incubator due to hatch the 26th! Half from Wynette and half from Maria Hall! I am really excited! I will candle on Monday so the number may go down of viable eggs but should be good regardless. I have never vaccinated before but after a lot of reading I have decided to give these chicks the Marek vaccine. Very nervous about injecting into their tiny necks but I want to make sure my Jersey flock won't ever get Mareks and the nearest neighbor just brought in a lot of meat birds....unvaccinated. Not taking any chances since the virus is airborne and lives for 65 months!

thundress - I was on Cinda's list for hatching eggs a few years ago, and she disappeared! I'm THRILLED to hear her line is still out there & alive & doing well - I'll be anxiously watching!!

I was looking over the pictures and was wait I have 3 blk,3blue,3splash.

I found them just over looked them as same chick!

I about scared myself!

I edited the post and added the ones I missed.
As Of now I have 4 splash,4 Blue (some in picture look darker then they are) 3 blacks.
I have one egg to hatch soon and another dozen just shipped today.

I hope to get at least 4-6 out of these eggs.

Then Hope

for more pullets then roosters.
I'm also to pick up eggs from Sunangel in June too.
