I gotta tell ya .... If anything weird is to happen, it happen here! I have hatched rare and odd things this year. I have hatched 4 dwarfs and a BR sport (White Rock). speckledhen told me to turn that (weird and odd) incubator switch off.

Some weird genetics have certainly been through this bator, that is for sure!

How is your hatch going, Kristin? Are you gonna turn on your webcam? (Is that what it is called?)

Here are the first chicks of my Mega-hatch ......

The new mama came and picked them up already. All of these are gone, except the Delawares. I have more pips yet, though they are Delawares and a few of my Marans.

28 sent out to new home, 21 in the brooder, 6 hatched (still in bator), 10 more pips I see.

Most of the Jersey Giant eggs I set are not due until next weekend. Most of today's were Delawares and some for a friend. I did get 6 or 8 Silkies, mostly buff, 12 or so Olive Eggers, and maybe 6 Giants (which were all black, I think). I have never paid attention to the yellow vs white skin on the JG. I will look for that.
