A strain of non crowing roosters would be worth their weight in gold.(well not quite, but valuable)

Now see, I am polar opposite on this - I LOVE the sound of a cock bird crowing. I even had a breeding trio of Tomaru Longcrowers once!

I would love to have a rooster crowing but unfortunately....... Now if they are non-crowers I may have a money maker.

Maybe I should hold off on processing my extras just in case.

I guess I'll just be more patient.

I think that you took my post not entirely how I was intending it. I also like the sound or roosters in the morning. But to those living in a town/city that wanted to hatch their own eggs, a non crower would be highly sought.

I'll also say that when 40 roosters are crowing in the morning (Before the Purge), that was a little much.

I honestly do love the sound of a cockerel learning to crow or a cock bird crowing full on. I WILL say, I was not amused when one crowed RIGHT in my ear just the other day. I've had to separate my male Giant cock bird as my females are in such a horrible molt right now I didn't want him pestering them. So, I put him in a breeder cage my DH made me (I love that thing), and when I leaned in to pour a treat of BOSS into his feed cup, he let 'er rip right in my ear. Holy heck!

I had a rooster who crowed when I walked around with him. I always had a great time squeezing/shaking/taping his neck area to modulate the sound of the crow. LOL Maybe it was like a rooster bagpipe or something. LOL
