Jersey Giants thread for pictures and discussion

Thanks... I think her prices include standard shipping also. Will definetly consider her.

I think eventually you will get a response on here for hatching eggs, this doesn't seem like a much visited thread, borderline dead. Maria does have nice birds, they cost a lot but it does cost a lot to do what she is doing, she sells them so must be they don't cost too much. Some good breeder quality fowl cost way more than she's charging. I heard a woman in Canada sells her excellent rare white chanteclers she has been perfecting for a long time for a thousand dollars for a breeding trio, and there is a waiting list.

Back awhile ago, couple months? Maria posted on here, had some sale priced, maybe she still has some she wants to get rid of. I considered her birds but I really wanted the whites and she doesn't have them.
When I mentioned it on this thread I was considering Maria's someone said she charged too much, and there was people on this thread that have just as good birds for a better deal, helping people get into the breed using breeder quality rather then hatchery stock. Maybe one of them will pipe up eventually...

I love my Whites. Big Boy has a single black wing feather, but other than that he has redeeming qualities.lol he is already pushing 2ft tall
400
at close to 6 months he still has a lot of growing to do

One of the pieces of advice that I was too impatient to take,AT FIRST.Was that it will save you a lot of time and disappointment by going with quality birds from the start.

Yup, I'm pretty sure Framac has quality birds, too bad I wasn't interested in the blacks or blues, Framac lives close to me.
The whites I got from SandHill, after culling I'm down to two cockerels and two pullets, and one of the pullets has slightly dirtyish feathers, but she's HUGE so I'll breed a trio, hatch as many as the wife will allow, and go from there.
I couldn't find any breeders of whites at the time, so not much I could do, SandHill's stock I hear are a closed flock Golda Miller line, same breeder, Golda Miller that Maria Hall got her start with her blacks and blues.

Not sure what's up with that one pullet with the slightly discolored feathers, little dirty looking, she looks 'odd' to me, the neck, but she's huge, as tall as the cockerel and heavy. With only two pullets though I have to breed her. I had two more really nice pullets, one had a dislocated hip since it was a chick, I culled her, the best looking biggest pullet I had got killed by a hawk!!!!
When I get the numbers up I'll cull hard. Can't wait to try some of these whites as capons.

The Rooster looks like he has yellow bleeding through.? It has something to do with recessive and dominant white traits. I read something about white birds with a yellow cast, can't remember what it said. Or is it just the camera ? Really dark looking legs!!
