All I can say is WOW I am not holding out much hope for mine Unfortunately we were gone all day today the hatcher read 102 when we came home so I hope they arent cooked Bill swears he heard chirping but I didnt. Went to a swap today was hoping to meet Seminole but I missed her. wanted to see some of your grandkids. Came home to one of my giants hens dead She was fine when we left dont know what happened no signs of illness or predator. She was just laying in the coop on her side. Ticks me off as she was my one really dark blue

I am so sorry about your beautiful hen.

I hate it when things like that happen. You just never know, that's for sure. Well, I hope your hatch still succeeds. You just might get a surprise and still have a good hatch.

Do you dissect your animals. I do; that gives me a better view of what was going on yet sometimes that doesn't help.

No I dont dissect my birds It probably was the heat We are having a cold front this week 93-96 all week with a 20%-40% chance of rain I kid you ni the weatherman said last night that this coldfront was bringing in more rain IF they consider that cold I would hate to see what they call really cold.

Karen Yeah I even asked cmom if she saw you I was hoping to see those chicks you hatched. Did you bring your big black rooster. When I came home my new hatcher had jumped to 102 but it must not have been too long as I have 9 pips already tonight and tomorrow is Hatch day. Heres hoping I have a hatch like Kathy's

I have Jersey Giants to the hens seem to be more docile then the male ons [opionion]
