Jet finally got his big boy feathers. He is looking just like the photos of a Gadwall Drake. I love the different patterns on his feathers. He keeps my runners in line. He is so much smaller but is alpha duck.

Thanks. He is such a sweet little guy too. I love his new feathers.

Someone found him wandering around inside the local airport and brought him to me. A friend suggested "Jet" and it seemed to fit. : )

He has grown up to be absolutely gorgeous. It doesnt seem so long ago that you were posting about him being found- and now he is all grown!! How time flies.

I have been thinking about Jet a lot lately and was going to ask how he was doing. I am reminded of him every time I go to the lake and see the beautiful gadwalls.

Whomever said that Jet would not ever fly or survive in the wild didn't know what they're talking about. I hope you enjoy Jet and gadwalls do love mallard and mallard-derived females, too.

I think he is so pretty. I would like to have a mate for him, because I am afraid he is lonesome. The runners don't like him very much. He has the upper hand, so they don't hurt him, but they run away from him, so I think he is lonely.
