Chapter 24
Nikki ducked just in time. She tried to remember where the van had taken her, and followed that path, but it got very tiring, and night fell long before she saw Jazzy and Sunny's coop. However, she had walked through a forest when she broke from the path, and was now far from that city like stuff, out where the coop was- somewhere.
"Mommy!" Bella cried.
Their worst nightmare had just come true. 3 hungry stray dogs had broken into the chicken coop, and were staring- in their eyes.
"Well well well Welsch," the first dog, a blue brindle pitbull said condescendingly, "we meet again!"
"Get out of my house Spencer!" Welsch demanded.
"Welsch, you've sure grown up a bit since we last saw you," a boxer said sarcastically. The rest of the group laughed.
"Well, Welsch? Aren't you going to fight us," a Norwegian Elkhound mocked. Welsch ran towards her and spurred her in the nose. She pinned him to the ground, while the brindle and the boxer attacked Kiki, Maple, and the rest. They killed them, and then went after Sunny and the chicks.
"Get away from her!" Jazzy yelled, jumping towards the boxer. She grabbed his head skin by her claws and flapped her wings, hurting him. She then decided that racket was the better alternative, and started squawking and screaming around the coop. The human came out with his rifle and shot the 3 dogs, then walking into the house.
"Let's leave," Sunny suggested. "If their pack finds out, we'll be in big trouble."
"Okay," Jazzy agreed. "Boys hop onto my wing, girls hop onto Sunny's."
The group was now searching for their friend, Nikki and prepare themselves to reunite once and for all with Fenix and Gingernut.

Chapter 24

Chapter 25
"Mommy, what's that thing in the bushes," Peppernut asked Sunny.
"Jazzy..." Sunny said, freezing.
"Guys," a voice in the bushes similar to Nikki's asked.
"Nikki?!?!" Jazzy said.
"Jazzy! Sunny!" Nikki cried, running over to hug them. They hugged each other for what seemed like hours. They then continued on their journey, on a search for Gingernut and Fenix.
Soon, they arrived at some countryside. An endless field of grass lay before them, with all kinds of flowers sprouting from the ground. The chicks charged into the field before them and played, while Jazzy and Sunny dustbathed.
A few hours later, though, Bella had stopped playing and approached Sunny.
"Mommy," Bella asked, "what's that thing circling in the sky?"
