Chapter 51

"So how do we walk up a rock wall," Nikki asked as she began to get frustrated.
"Hush," Rocket demanded. "I know a way we can get out of here. But its dangerous."
"If its so dangerous, then why are we doing it," Nikki questioned suspiciously.
"Its the only way out. Climbing the canyon is much more dangerous," Rocket explained.
"Okay, then show me and the kittens this super secret place," Nikki demanded.
"Its the stream," Rocket replied.
"Come on Rocket! You know the kittens will be carried down that stream!"
"Keep them on your back! They'll stay on!" With that, Rocket jumped into the stream and Nikki reluctantly followed.

"Well, Fenix? Should we continue on," Gingernut asked.
"The chicks are worn out already from all of this digging. Let them rest for a while," Fenix replied.
"I'm going down to the river to catch some mice and minnows," Jazzy declared.
"I'll go with you," Sunny offered. "Chicks, hop on!"

Later on, Nikki and Rocket jumped out of the stream and caught some tasty looking trout.
"So where does the stream lead to," Nikki asked.
"A lake," Rocket replied.
"A LAKE?!" Nikki replied. "Come on, Rocket! We'll drown in a lake!"
"Nikki, stop it. Don't question your swimming skills, you're going to need them," Rocket warned.
"You know, why did I pick you as a mate?"
"Nikki," Rocket replied.

After Jazzy and Sunny got back, the chicks were back to their usual hyperactive selves.
"So Fenix, do you think we should go now?"
"Alright." Fenix bickered a little under his breath, but lead the way down the countryside.

After a while, they saw a building of some sort. What was all of this about?
"Maybe we could stay there for a while," Jazzy suggested.
"Err err err err, eeerr."
"Punk!" Fenix yelled. "Just try something! I'll give you a spur in the wings you'll never forget!"
"Fenix," Gingernut said, trying to get Fenix to cool off.
"All of you! Shut your traps!"
