Hi, folks!
My wife and I just bought a nice house on 7 beautiful, secluded acres in the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia. We're just outside "Smalltown, USA" and we'd like to have some "yard birds".

I know a little about keeping chickens from what Grandaddy taught me. My wife knows nothing about it and is depending on me to do the construction. That's not going to be an issue as I'm retired from over 30 years in heavy construction.

I found your forum by search and I thought it would be a good idea to link up with some people that might be able to give me some pointers and advice on the nuts and bolts of keeping chickens.
