Hi from Vancouver Island.
I got back into raising poultry last July as a shared activity for myself and my daughter and have been lurking here ever since.
So, without boring you all with the details of how many and what type of birds etc: may I just take the time to thank all of you for sharing so much information over the past several months.
Between Back Yard Chickens, Mother Earth News and a few friends, you have all done a great deal to take the guess work out of raising hens & ducks.
If you have participated in such topics as Muscovies, predators, incubation, Coop building, chances are you have helped me.
Now: I have a bunch of duck and goose eggs due to start hatching tomorrow, two pipped today and I'll be tending to that exercise over the next few weeks but rest assured, I'll still be lurking around here.
Thanks again
Jim

Well, it's been five hours and since then another six eggs have pipped. Looks like tomorrow is going to be a fun day.
Thanks for the welcome.
Night all.
