Jive Turkey is growing so fast

Jive is growing by the day. And uglier by the day. Even my son laughs at him now.

But i still love that little booger nonethless.

He is loosing his/her hair on the neck and getting some white and black tail feathers now. He still isnt allowed to play outside with the guineas since our rooster would love to take a bite out of him.Rooster goes over to the cage and growls and does his little dance. So he will be in the cage for another month yet.He doesnt appreciate that at all.

I love Jive turkey!! so cute and squeezable

He will get out of that ugly phase. Now is when he will change so fast before your eyes. My BRs have suddenly gotten BIG!

I watched one of the "babies" (not really any more) do his OWN little dance at my rooster today -- they both free-range -- and turkey totally started chasing rooster. Then mom turkey spied the events and took off after poor rooster to protect her son. But he was the one who started it cuz I saw the whole thing. Just like human kids!

Jive is lookin just fine! I see he has some colors in his feathers. Nice! Have you tried giving him a small sea shell to play with? My two just love pecking at them and stealing them from each other. It will not be long and the chickens will be looking up to Jive.

I put a mirror in the run but he wasnt to impressed with it. Even a mp3 player with Turkey sounds didnt phase him.I have not heard him gobble yet so maybe he is a she. Either way is fine with me.

oh and yes.. he is growing fast every day.
