Hi,
I have had a flock of guinea-fowl for about 7 years, but have only recently gotten chickens too. About a year ago I adopted a little Mille Fleur bantam rooster along with his guinea girl-friend, then I decided to get a few chicken hens. I bought 6 chicks from TSC and lost one, so now I have 5 beautiful red hens laying eggs for us every day. I think they are a cross between Rhode Island Reds and New Hampshires. They love to roam around our three acre yard and I let them out every day after they lay. They're super friendly and let me pick them up and pet them. They are so calm that I think they've even calmed down my 15 Guineas. They all share the same coop and get along fine.
