Finally received my two new babies, Honey and Hazel, this morning. They are Welsh Harlequin chicks.

I am due to get 2 welsh harlequin ducklings in a couple weeks. So excited to be a first time duck mom!!!

I am so excited. My family is plum sick of hearing me talk about them.lol Can't wait to be able to post pics soon.

Oh I know how I was. Was talking about ducks for months and even got a shirt that said Duck Mom on it

Lol. I have pouring over everyone's pictures and taking everyone's advise so I think I'm ready. I'm sure once they come though I will be OMG I have sooo many questions.

I completely relate.

Ducks, "QUACK QUACK QUACK QUACK QUACK!!!!!!!"

Interpretation: "Omg there is a scary predator, come quickly before we die! We NEED you!"

Obviously I rush outside barefoot and half dressed. "What's wrong? Where's the predator? I'm ready to fight it off barehanded my precious ducklings!"

The ducks start peeping (they are over 6 and 7 years old) and waddle over to their jar of mealworms. "You little liars!"
