Do they have lots of breeds? Also I'm curious do ducks just lay eggs on their own without mating like with Khakis or Pekins
they have a ton of breeds, including more rare ones too like harlequins and appleyards. yep, they will lay eggs with or without a drake.

Lol that's really funny about them headbutting. We got trails of woods 6 acres of it actually but they are really getting over grown. I wonder if they would help maintain that. Trimming their hooves, how often do you do that and is it hard. Also may be a dumb question but how do you do that.

I just watched some videos on YouTube and you use trimmers that are super sharp. We do it every month or so, basically I look to see when their hooves look overgrown. Every once in a while I can manage doing it myself but usually my husband will hold the goat for me

Very neat. I have looked at where I could get goats but I haven't had much luck finding some in Michigan.

How would I know if my ducks mated such as when would I know the difference between eggs being fertilized and others that are well for eating?

I’d assume like chickens you can eat fertilized eggs, it’s not until their incubated that they actually begin to develop 🤷🏽‍♀️

Hi, I have 4 ducks all of them are muscovy hens. Their names are Penguin, Pigeon, Puffin, and Karen and they act like dogs... except Karen she acts like Karen.

How would you know if they are fertilized. They just sit on them?
i think you can’t know until you crack them open. and they don’t always sit o. fertilized eggs unfortunately! if you want them to hatch babies i would just let them keep all the eggs once they get broody
