Hi! I’m new to ducks and have 7 currently living in my basement. They are a mess, holy cow! Adorable though :) We have a two acre pond and I can’t wait until the day they get to try it out.

Be careful that's a huge pond it might be very hard to get them out of it into safety at night time. One of the most common problems I see on here are people who's ducks won't come out of the pond to the safety of the coop, and it can often result in duck fatalities.
 
What I did to help identify mine at a young age was I was able to tell by their tale feathers. The makes will have like one long curled feather at the end called a drake feather
