I just found this and kinda wanted to post my newest duckling who hatched the day before yesterday. She/he is a Cayuga x Silver Appleyard. Mom is a cayuga and dad is the SA. Can't wait to see what he/she looks like fully grown. I have a couple of older ones, but they have no where near the yellow one them that this one does.

I set up the "grownup" pond for a trial run today. It's the largest stock tank Rubbermaid makes, plus a koi pond pump and filter and non-chemical additives so I don't have to change out the water as often. (I live in the desert southwest USA where water use is an issue.)

So basically, here's the "After" photo of my stimulus check. :D

Looks really impressive! How big is it?

Hubby set up duck house on the weekend and they have spend the last two nights out there and not in the garage. I have had birds in my house since February, it was exciting to them 100% out. We will be removing the ramp and just building it up with the dirt and mulch. We’re still working on getting them to come back at night but we have a good system for now. My son goes out in a row boat which they seem to know means it’s time to leave the island and head in. They learn quickly it seems.

I’ve attached a few pics of the house and a couple of Webster. He was hatched from a Pekin egg, is black white and green. Possibly mixed with Cayuga??

Day 38 for the first lot of eggs… all but one are late quitters I’m not giving up on little dancing ducky as he/she is still in the egg doing the cha cha….
just gone into lockdown with 2nd lot and out of 4 eggs it appears only one is doing the cha cha in that lot…. 2nd lot is due to hatch on 5/22 (22/5) so let’s see how we go… 2 out of 11 for a 1st time incubating isn’t bad… especially with all the issues I’ve had to begin with, with the bloody chinabator
