You can add my name too! Chickens are SOOO much more unobtrusive than dogs or cats can be. As long as you take care of them and keep their coops clean, there's absolutely no reason you shouldn't be allowed to keep chickens. People have been doin' it for years!

A chicken in every yard! People don't realize that they are part of sustainable living.

Also, a lot of regulations were written only dealing with commercial operations. The idea that people might be just keeping some chickens for laying eggs is...well, a lot of folks think it went out with WWII. It's so mom and pop. But it's back! Along with the Slow Food movement, etc. The various regulations need to move into the 21st century!
